Steve was amazing. He went above and beyond to ensure I was pleased with the vehicle I bought. There were some minor things present when I bought the vehicle that I didn't notice until after buying and he went so far as to even order the little screw parts for me at no charge. He also ensured the dealership backed up their word when negotiating. As a whole the company took great care of me and I am very happy with my vehicle because of Steve's efforts!

I knew what kind of vehicle I wanted, and Preferred seemed to have the best prices around that I could find. Justin C was super helpful showing what options they had and providing info and prior history on the SUV that I ended up going back and getting the next day. The whole process was straightforward and easy, very little hassle overall!

I just wanted to say, I really do not like car buying. It's such a stressful experience and I had the worst experience at another dealership the day before I came to Preferred Auto. Justin Callaway, who helped me through my whole car buying process, was incredible. When the car I was looking at would not end up working with my situation, he came in at the last hour and found a solution. He listened to me and made me feel like he cared about my situation. He didn't try to sell me on something I didn't want or make me feel bad about my situation. I cannot thank him enough and I can safely say I will be coming back to him if/when I need another car and referring him to the other people in my life who need cars.

From the moment I first contacted Preferred Auto I felt comfortable. My salesman Steve was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I live about 2 hours away so I asked him to be my eyes when it came to viewing the vehicle I was interest in. He assured me that is was sound mechanically and cosmetically. I put $500 down and scheduled to pick it up in the next couple of days. He informed me later that a window needed a regulator. He scheduled that to be repaired and advised me that they should have it back by the time I arrived. Steve called me the day I was going to pick it up and said the Honda dealership where they took the car for repair was running a bit behind and it may not be ready by the time I got there. I assured him that that was fine and made my way there. When I arrived the car was just getting finished up. I met with the finance manager Brett who was awesome and the entire paperwork ordeal only took about a half hour. Very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a terrific used car.

I had a great experience here purchasing a new vehicle. Cars are well maintained, represented truthfully, and I never felt any sense of being pushed into anything I didn't want. Special shoutout to Justin and Steve — these guys are amazing! Be sure to ask for one of them if you shop here. This is actually the first independent-style dealership I've gone to, and I was very satisfied. As with any dealer, make sure you pay close attention to final paperwork — we had an issue with ours but they were super kind and easy to work with to make the fix. I would recommend anyone to come here and I would purchase from them again!

Walked in Friday Jan 2nd with my son to look at vehicles for a teen driver. I was promptly greeted by Justin Gerber who was very kind, professional, and listened to what we were looking for. Justin happened to have the exact car my son was looking for. After a test drive and a little negotiation, we shook hands and started the paperwork. All of the cars at Preferred were nice, clean, come with lifetime car washes, and 1st oil change is free. The Leonard Family has built a great business, and with the expansion of the back lot, will carry 400+ vehicles at a given time. This was my first purchase from Preferred, but it will not be my last. Thanks for the great buying experience Justin, my son could not be happier.

This was my first time buying from a dealership, and I was feeling pretty oblivious to how the process works. My man Steve couldn't have made it any easier, along with the rest of the crew. I highly recommend the service department at Preferred Auto Fort Wayne. Their service was excellent and everyone was friendly and patient. They went above and beyond to make the repairs I needed and to get them done in a timely manner so I wouldn't have to be without my car at the end of the day. They explained everything so I could understand. And they provided a free ride home and back to the facility.

I hadn't bought a car in almost 13 years and everyone I worked with at Preferred was incredibly helpful and made the entire process easy. They even gave me and my son a tour of the facility and the owner even stopped by to meet us and share the history of their business. I bought my 2015 GMC Canyon from them at Illinois Rd. Legacy and adapting and overcoming is what this business has always been about in my opinion. I didn't even know fully ,or tried to figure it out when I bought the truck I still hang onto. My Canyon has 61,000 miles on it now. Doing research it's one of the nicest left out there of the trucks. This dealership is one of the nicest and honest places in the local area. Give them your business it's worth it!

Really shocked at how supportive the staff was. Answering all my questions and taking time to make sure I was truly comfortable with my purchase. No pressure at all. The team was there to help our family make sure this was the right vehicle for us. Family friendly as well. Two of our kids joined us and when we ended up purchasing the vehicle they had to be there longer than anticipated. The staff was engaging with our kids and very sweet!
