Model Overview
The only engine for the Town and Country is a 3.6L "Pentastar" V6 that produces 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A new 'Fuel Economizer' mode helps make engine and powertrain adjustments to maximize fuel efficiency. The high performance V6 is mated to the 6-speed automatic transmission and drives new premium, lower-rolling resistance tires, low friction bearings and other technology to further improve fuel economy. With these refinements, the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country is rated at an estimated 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. The suspension, which received major upgrades for last model year, provides an agile, confidence-inspiring driving experience.
The interior includes beautifully crafted high-quality materials that are soft to the touch. Standard features include smart storage, a beautiful wood-surfaced console and flexible seating options. Optional UConnect technology brings touchscreen and voice command for convenient control of multiple media sources, navigation and handsfree phone operation. A standard dual DVD entertainment system can show two rear-seat passengers up to two movies with headphones.

The Town and Country's standard safety equipment includes front, side and knee air bags as well as active head restraints for all three rows. All-speed electronic stability control is also standard. Optional safety equipment includes a tire pressure monitor along and an accident avoidance feature with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection and a ParkView backup camera. The sunroof and windows feature an auto-reverse system to prevent accidental pinching. An Enhanced Accident Response System that turns on interior lighting, flashes hazard lights and shuts off fuel flow after a collision.

Comfort features include heated mirrors, power-adjustable seats, a smart-key system, a garage-door opener, dual-zone climate control and a remote start system. There is an available heated steering wheel, rain-sensitive windshield wipers and roof rack crossbars that rotate and store in the side rails to reduce aerodynamic drag. LED taillights and a rear light bar help make the Town and Country more visible no matter the weather conditions.
