The 450e is powered by a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder with 248 horsepower with a hybrid electric motor that increases the power to 381 horsepower. The GLE 580 features a 4L twin turbo V8 that produces 510 horsepower, while the AMG GLE 53 features an 3L intercooled turbocharged 6-cylinder 429 horsepower engine. All engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The GLE 450e increases the power output to 381 horsepower through an electric motor, a rear spoiler, and a remote starter.
The GLE 580 adds an adaptive auto-leveling height adjustable air ride suspension, cross drilled four-wheel disc brakes, 20-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, and a 13-speaker sound system.
